"Your Farmland & Our Stewardship, Feeding America"
Sorenson Farms is pleased you are taking the first steps in learning more about our operation and we look forward to speaking with you in the future.
Our mission is to incrementally grow the agribusiness with well devised strategies and sweat equity to provide long-term opportunities and financial security to the family ownership partners.
Sorenson Farms will be an agribusiness focused on the profitable, progressive, and sustainable production of quality grains. Sorenson Farms will be a respected, responsible neighbor and an asset to our community. We prefer a rural lifestyle and are willing to embrace change as a means to that end. Sorenson Farms provides the opportunity for our children to participate in production agriculture either as owners and/or managers of the business. We take pride in providing Challenges, Rewards, Opportunities and Potential (CROP) to our family members involved in the business.
To maintain the level of CROP and continue to operate at efficient economies of scale we incrementally grow the business. Our philosophy is to make manageable growth maneuvers each crop cycle. This approach allows us to make smart purchasing and marketing decisions without placing financial burden on the business.
In the past several years we have expanded our tillable acres allowing additional family members to join the business. In the future we look to keep increasing tillable acres to supplement these new team members as well as provide a larger basis to dilute overhead costs.
The future is our opportunity; Agriculture, like many industries, has undergone tremendous change over the past few decades. We strive to stay current with practices and technologies that present either a high return, reduction in labor or a reduced footprint. This approach will keep us flexible on how we operate and manage assets to adapt to changing business, political and social climates.
Below are some of the key areas we focus on to build and keep strong landowner/tenant relationships.
